Evaluation of empirical studies on the adoption of social media by organization

Meta-analysis is a quantitative procedure that allows to evaluate and generalize studies. In my case, I performed the meta-analysis of empirical studies that have been published before 2014. I compared all studies based on the methods, theoretical frameworks they used, the variables or concepts they studied and findings.

As this review demonstrates, there is an abundance of theories explaining the process of adoption of technology and innovations. With such significant theoretical underpinning one would expect numerous empirical studies that will test these theories in the context of social media adoption in organizations. However, only 15 studies were identified through searching online collections of articles and books.
The meta-analysis is the part of my dissertation, but I am thinking about publishing it as a separate article.
